Soheil Beiraghi

Soheil Beiraghi is an Iranian independent film director, screenwriter and producer. He has directed the award-winning films I, Cold Sweat and Popular. He started out on his filmmaking career in 2005 as an assistant director in a number of cinematic productions.

Abbas Amini

Abbas AMINI (I983, Iran) is a screenwriter and filmmaker who began making short films when he was just 13. Amini initially started his career as an assistant director, before directing his first film Valderrama in 2016, which screened at Berlinale and was nominated for Best Feature Film in the Generation section. Amini has also been a volunteer with Association for the Protection of Child Labourers for more than a decade. His work has often covered the effects of the conflict between Iran and Iraq, an issue he’s explored in his latest film Endless Borders (2023).

Jamshid Mahmoudi

Jamshid Mahmoudi is an Afghan film director, screenwriter, producer and editor. Mahmoudi is best known for his works A Few Cubic Meters of Love, Rona, Azim’s Mother, and The Lion Skin. In 2023, he earned two Hafez Awards for The Lion Skin.

Jafar Panâhi is an Iranian film director, screenwriter, and film editor, commonly associated with the Iranian New Wave film movement.
